The Great Depression in pictures
01. Introduction to Economics
What are the similarities and differences
between the economic effects of
the Great Depression vs the Covid-19 Recession?
For our "Introduction to Economics" final term paper, my teammates (Chloé Chiasson, Elizabeth Jetté & Laurence Leduc) and I decided to analyze the similarities and differences between the economic effects of the Great Depression and the COVID-19 Recession. This project allowed us to develop a greater understanding of two major economic events that took place nearly a century apart. It also gave us the opportunity to execute concrete research on important economic concepts seen in class, such as the unemployment rate, industrial production, inflation/deflation, and GDP/GNP.
02. Research Project in the Social Sciences
What are the factors leading to homelessness in Canada?
As part of our "Research Project in the Social Sciences" final research report, my teammates (Elizabeth Jetté & Kloé Robillard) and I decided to dedicate our research to the pressing issue of homelessness in Canada. We focused on the different factors that can lead any individual to end up on the streets and separated them into three main themes: individual circumstances, vulnerable populations and external factors. This project allowed us to better understand the reality of the homeless population in our country and gave us the desire to help this population, which personally led me to volunteer at the Welcome Hall Mission a few weeks later.

03. Histoire du XVe siècle au temps présent
The Causes of the American Civil War
For my history class' final project, I decided to write a paper on the causes of the American Civil War. After conducting research on the topic, I chose to divide my paper into three main causes: the different economic visions of the southern and northern states, the debate over the implementation of slavery in the newly conquered territories and the election of Abraham Lincoln as president. I have always been interested in learning more about historical events which have shaped the history of our civilization; thus, this project was a great opportunity for me to satisfy my curiosity about this large-scale war that will remain etched in American history forever.

05. Introduction to Political Sciences

Handling of First Nations Healthcare by the Provincial Governments of Quebec and Manitoba and the Federal Government of Canada
For the final paper of my political sciences, we were tasked to delve deeper into an issue encountered by First Nations living in Canada and analyze it by comparing its handling by two provincial governments as well as the federal government. For my part, I chose to analyze the issue of healthcare access by comparing the approaches of Québec and Manitoba, as well as Ottawa. It was a paper in which I was fully invested and my interest did not diminish at all through the writing process, as it was fascinating to delve deeper into fundamental issues that often fly under the radar.
06. Marketing

07. Introduction to Geopolitics

Position Paper
Delegate of Hungary in the
North Atlantic Council Committee
In preparation for the Model NATO Conference, my position paper outlined the position of Hungary on the three following core topics :
Topic A : Adapting to climate change and climate security
Topic B : Integrating responses to emerging threats and cybersecurity
Topic C : Development of New Frameworks for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Responses
To be assigned as the delegate of Hungary at such a conference was definitely a major challenge, as this country is often the black sheep both in the EU and NATO when it comes to decisions such as funding to Ukraine or the ascension of further countries into the military alliance, like it was the case with Sweden. Nevertheless, it was a great challenge and I had a lot of fun debating on various proposals and constructive ideas throughout the entire week-end!
