A little weekend in New York with friends? It would be hard to ask for better than this. Not only was this short trip fantastic because we had plentu of personal time to discover the city as we wanted to, but also because we had the amazing opportunity to have a private tour of the United Nations Headquarters. Thank you to Marcello for the connections :)

Ever since I was a little child, I have always looked up to the United Nations a lot. For a very long time, I dreamed of studying international law to become a diplomat or an ambassador. Although my legal interests have greatly evolved since then, I remain just as passionate about this institution whose mere pronunciation of 2 letters, UN, automatically attracts international coverage.

At the time of the visit, I was also completing a complementary course in international law with Marcello at Sainte-Anne, so it was extremely enriching to move from theory to application. Visiting the rooms of the various United Nations bodies, where international players meet daily to negociate and fundamental decisions, was very special. My favorite was definitely the General Assembly room because it was so impressive to witness the place that each country is offered to have a say at the UN.

Definitely a memorable and enriching trip!
