Trip to Ottawa

Saint-Anne's Interdisciplinary Week

This year was the 2nd edition of the interdisciplinary week at Sainte-Anne, and I immediately jumped at the chance to take part in the 3-day trip to Ottawa. Throughout the trip, not only did I forge great memories with my friends, but I also loved visiting many of Ottawa's famous political and historical institutions. These included listening to Question Period at the House of Commons, meeting Canada's Minister of Labour and Seniors, Seamus O'Regan, visiting the Bank of Canada, the Museum of Canadian History and the home of Canada's Governor General, Mary Simon.

All these visits were very instructive and enriching, and I came away with a great deal of consolidation and deepening of notions we had already touched upon in class.

A great opportunity to put theory into practice!
